Riane White is an associate at Silverman Thompson who primarily practices in the Firm’s criminal defense group. She works on a broad range of criminal matters, from DUIs and assaults to white collar investigations and contempt of congress. She has state and federal jury trial experience and state and federal appellate writing experience.
Before joining the Firm, Ms. White was judicial law clerk in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County to the Honorable Vicki Ballou-Watts and Stacy A. Mayer. She also clerked for the Honorable Susan H. Hazlett in the District Court for Harford County.
Riane attended Washington University School of Law where, in addition to her J.D., she earned an LL.M. in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution and served as a certified student attorney for the St. Louis County Public Defender’s Office. She was also awarded a Global Public Interest Fellowship and worked in the High Court Unit of Legal Aid South Africa in Durban.
Riane completed her undergraduate education at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where she received a Bachelor of Science in broadcast journalism.
