Rian Wieser joined Silverman Thompson in 2025, bringing with her extensive experience in multiple aspects of family law, including protective orders, contested divorces, and marital settlements. She has a strong track record of securing positive outcomes for her clients through diligent preparation and advocacy.
Ms. Wieser’s primary focus as a family law attorney is achieving the best possible results for her clients. She is known for her meticulous research, strong writing skills, and confident courtroom presence. Her ability to effectively communicate arguments and draft compelling motions has contributed to her success in securing final protective orders for victims of abuse and favorable resolutions in high-conflict family law cases.
Prior to joining Silverman Thompson, Ms. Wieser worked as an attorney at the Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault, representing survivors across the state. This experience has allowed her to work with individuals from vastly different backgrounds and navigate highly complex and contentious family law matters with empathy and determination.
Ms. Wieser is a certified mediator, having completed her 40-hour mediation certification in Maryland. She has also recently undertaken her Best Interest Attorney training, further enhancing her ability to advocate for children in family law disputes. She works best with clients who are honest about their situation and committed to their goals for their family’s future.
