A Circuit Court for Baltimore City Judge denied the defendant’s request to move the wrongful death lawsuit of family members of Isaiah Simmons from Baltimore City to Carroll County. The Court ruled that the plaintiffs had demonstrated sufficient ties to Baltimore City to maintain venue. This lawsuit stems from the tragic and high-profile death of Isaiah Simmons, III, a minor, who died at the hands of guards at the now closed Bowling Brook Preparatory School in Carroll County, Maryland.
