Firm Convinces Appellate Court to Toss $33.6 Million Damage Award

The Maryland Court of Special Appeals, in a reported decision, overturned a $33.6 million by retired Raven Michael McCrary against his former business associates Stuart C. “Neil” Fisher and Edward V. Giannasca. Silverman Thompson Managing Partner Steve Silverman successfully briefed and argued the appeal of one of the largest bench verdicts in Maryland history. Silverman Thompson did not represent the defendants at the trial level when the verdict was originally entered.
