Creston Smith Wins First Degree Murder Acquittal for Client

Silverman Thompson criminal defense attorney Creston P. Smith’s client was found not guilty on all counts, including first degree murder, after a week long jury trial in the matter of State v. Lee. Mr. Smith was able to overcome a police confession by his client before the Baltimore City jury unanimously voted 12-0 to acquit. The defendant had turned down a plea offer of 30 years to 2nd degree murder prior to the start of the trial. Veteran Circuit Court Judge David Ross presided over the trial.
