Firm Wins Construction Arbitration

On February 28, Silverman Thompson partner Bill Sinclair secured an across-the-board victory for firm client Congressional Construction, LLC in a complex construction arbitration before the American Arbitration Association. After pre- and post-arbitration briefing and a four-day hearing, which included expert testimony on damages, Sinclair convinced the arbitrator, Alan Kent, that Congressional should be awarded the full amount of money owed to it – over $740,000.00 – and that the defendant, Argo Systems, LLC, which had over $1.2 million in counterclaims, should be awarded less than $90,000.00.
